Honoring Specialist Third Class Robert Dancy with V.E.M.A and Cardinal Hospice
At Cardinal Hospice Care, our commitment to honoring veterans is a year-round mission—one recognized through our We Honor Veterans Level 3 status. This dedication was recently reflected in a special ceremony for one of our patients, Specialist Third Class Robert Dancy, PVT-1, U.S. Army.
This month, members of the Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association (V.E.M.A.) and our Cardinal Hospice team joined together to provide an honor ride and flag presentation for Mr. Dancy and his family.

The day began at The North Carolina Vietnam Memorial, where, on the first Saturday of every month, the names of all unaccounted North Carolinians from the Vietnam War are read aloud. Following the ceremony, the riders traveled to Rocky Mount to recognize Mr. Dancy’s service with a flag presentation.

This event was made possible through the Raleigh chapter of V.E.M.A., whose members that day included:
- Fergus – National Office
- Shawn – Deputy Commander
- Mike – Commander
- Jeff “Picard” Miller – Administrative Officer
- Patrick Frost – Soon-to-be Member
We thank V.E.M.A. for their role in honoring Mr. Dancy and for the continued support they give to veterans in our community.
